    3. > Do you know if this Nehemiah had two sons named Nehemiah Jr and Richard? Helen, I can't say for sure because the wills and probate records from Pulaski County are so incomplete. For instance, Benjamin Posey's probate file is empty. The county clerk thinks that someone must have removed documents that were never returned. However, he had a son who sued his estate (my 3rd ggf), so we have some documentation of Benjamin's family. I don't have many documents that reference Nehemiah Posey. Here is what I do have: From the Milledgeville Newspaper, Milledgeville GA, 28 Nov 1820: Georgia, Pulaski County. Whereas Amey Posey, Benjamin Posey, Humphrey Posey, apply for letters of administration on the estate of Nehemiah Posey, deceased. Given under my hand, this 18th November, 1820 (signed) Robert Moreland, C.C.O. Strangely enough, there is a record of the following marriage that was entered into the official record in Pulaski Co., GA - it looks like it was put there after many years: Nehemiah Posey mrd. Anna Trantham, 1771, in Chatham Co., GA. I hope this helps. I'm going to be leaving for SLC on Monday, and I do plan to spend some time at the Family History Library working in Pulaski GA records. I'll report back to you when I return - after June 6th. -Cheryl Hemingway
