    1. Re: [POSEY-L] Richard and Nehemiah
    2. Helen, I don't know if this is the same Nehemiah Posey, but I have a census reference showing a Nehemiah Posey still in Orangeburg Co., SC in 1830 (see below). I am interested in Nehemiah Posey because he (one of them?) is involved in a land transaction in Edgefield Co., SC, (1 February 1797) in which my ancestor Zachariah Posey is one of the witnesses. Nehemiah Posey, yeoman, is "of Orangeburgh". 3. This Nehemiah Posey was a son of Francis Posey of Orangeburg District/County, SC. He moved to Pulaski Co., GA where he died. Many of the children of Francis of Orangeburg District/County moved over to the Pulaski and Telfair Counties of GA. -Cheryl Hemingway chemingw@conectiv.net <http://users.rootsweb.com/~iljodavi> Jo Daviess Co., IL USGenWeb <http://members.tripod.com/~Chemingway/HomeonWeb.html> Cheryl's personal website ----- Original Message ----- From: <RCFamHist@aol.com> To: <POSEY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 23, 2000 5:28 PM Subject: Re: [POSEY-L] Richard and Nehemiah > Helen, > I don't know if this is the same Nehemiah Posey, but I have a census > reference showing a Nehemiah Posey still in Orangeburg Co., SC in 1830 (see > below).
