Hi, I mainly research the Posey line as it relates to my Dennis line. There where several marriages and a common migration to AL between the 2 lines. I would like to determine if the Francis Posey you mention and the one I have are the same. The Francis Posey I have moved to Autauga County, Al in 1826 from Montgomery Co., Al. He was thought to have been in Jasper Co., Ga before that. I am tring to determine if the Nathan Posey I find in tax records for Jones Co., Ga just south of Jasper Co., Ga is the Nathaniel Posey who was in Autauga Co., Al. in 1822. Francis bought land very close to him in 1826. The Nathan I mention was paying taxes in Jones Co. for a lot in Pulanski Co., Ga. He moved to Pulaski Co., GA where he died.
