Notice not only the difference in formation, but in the comparative size of the capital to the small letter. Notice the 6th capital P. This is a very common form in the early MD records, with the bottom of the P extending below the line, and the top of the P going to full height (as an h or l). A small p (as the first one there) would only go to half the height of capital P, otherwise very similar looking to the capital P. Rick Saunders
