Hello. My name is Meg Posey and I too have a James Posey in my ancestry, though I think he is not the same as any of yours. My James Augustus Posey was my great grandfather, b. about 1855 in (probably) Alabama, had a son -- Carl -- in 1906, married Mary Blanche Stone around that same time. My dad thinks he was a stone mason or contractor. If anyone has any ideas about him, that would be tremendously helpful. I have run into innumerable walls trying to track him down. Thanks! Meg
