Dear List, I was browsing through the index to the Virginia Revolutionary "Public" Claims (VA Record Group 48, at the VA State Library) and came across the following names. Most of the public claims were from 1779 to 1781. In most cases they were submitted in 1782. Colonel Posey from Charlotte Co. Humphry Posey from Henry Co. John P. Posey from New Kent Co. John Price Posey from New Kent Co. Thomas Posey from Augusta Co. Thomas Posey from Fairfax Co, John Posie from Orange Co. John P. Possey from King William Co. Can anyone claim them?
