The current issue of the National Geographic has a map enclosed "Western Migration" 1841-1869 which shows the Fort Smith-Santa Fe Trail, the California Trail, Mormon Trail, OregonTrail and southern Overland Trail, all west of the Mississippi. Another map on the reverse is the Pathfinders, 1803-1848, showing Indian lands and routes taken west from MO by different expedition leaders. Sharon Posey Smith
