Jim-- I have info of 5 male children of Humphrey Posey of Charles Co., MD and his wife Elizabeth Dunnington: Joseph Harrison (bc. 1763-?), James (6 Mar 1764-?) , Henry (bc. 1768-?), William (prob after 1773-?) , and Arsinue (prob after 1773-?) . As I recall, the 1790 census of Charles Co., MD shows a Humphrey Posey as head of household with a total of 3 males 16 or over, 2 males under 16, 6 females, and 4 slaves. I don't have that citation accessible, so you ought to confirm it. It does match with the info cited above. And, if I understand your problem, that should eliminate half of your unknowns!
