In fact my G/Grandmothers sister was admitted at the same time. Here are their details : Ellen & Margaret Cunningham admitted 1883, Ellen aged 7, Margaret aged 4. Documentation says Ellen was apprenticed to the Asylum at age 12, Margaret age 15. My G/Grandmother Ellen gave birth to boy named Wallace Norman Cunningham on 23 Dec 1893, Ellen would have been 17. Seeing as neither Ellen or Margaret ever married I'm assuming they both stayed at the Asylum till their apprenticeship was over at age 19. This year I travelled from Darwin to Sydney, spent a week researching, found their admission details, unfortunately it was a dead end from then on.
