Joseph Pollards will mentions wife Leah and 14 children. After Leah's death, the heirs instituted a suit to provide for sale of the personal property. The suit was filed in 1830, and the final order was not entered until 1839. At the time of Leah's death, ten children were alive, and George and Thomas had died leaving heirs. Hannah James, the only child mentioned in Leah Pollards 1822 will, was the only child not included in Joseph's will to share in the residuary. Of the thirteen mentioned, Hezikiah apparently died without children as he is not mentioned in the court proceeding. The Court decree sale of the personal property with the net proceeds be divided "into twelve equal parts, giving to ISAAC Pollard one part, to Nath'l Harrison purchaser under THOS Pollard one part, to ROBERT Pollard one part, to FRANCIS Pollard one part, to ZACHARIAH Pollard one part, to OVENDON Pollard one part, to Elijah Deaton in right of his wife NANCY one part, to The children of GEORGE Pollard, dec'd, viz CALEB Pollard, GEORGE Pollard, WM Pollard, ROBERT C.
