Details on Braxton's children can be found on rootsweb.com by doing a query on Braxton Carter Pollard, but they don't go into the connections I show in the next paragraph. In my opinion, but but not entirely proven, we have Braxton Carter (4 )Pollard son of Thomas(3) or his brother William(3) sons of John (2) son of Robert (1), probably an emigrant from Wales. I believe Thomas(3) and William(3) had a brother James(3) who moved to Culpeper Co., VA and then came to SC. James(3) had a son Robert(4) whose son Thomas BRAXTON (5) (yes!) Pollard was my wife's great great grandfather. Robert's sister, Margaret, m. John Watts and named a son BRAXTON Watts. I used to think Mike's Braxton Carter (4) Pollard was a brother of Robert (4), but now, after an exhaustive analysis of the Pollards of Lancaster Co., VA, I think they were more likely first cousins. Rgards to all, Theron Smith Also of interest is that Carter Braxton was a signer of the Declaration of Independence from VA. Good chance that he has some relationship, family or otherwise, to Braxton Cater Pollard, but I've no details to support this.
