I know my GGGrandfather was born in NC (from census records) and his parents were born in VA, but I can't find where in NC, nor his parents' names. I'm looking for George Washington Pollard (b 1824 NC), moved to Owen Co IN, married Eliza Jane Hord (b 1826 Mason Co KY) in 1848, then settled in Ashmore Coles IL. I believe he may have had at least two sisters: Elizabeth S (b NC 1822), married Stephen Brown (b 1821 OH) in Owen Co IN 1845 and settled in McLean Co IL Isabel F (or A) (b 1826 NC), married Rufus Wood (b 1824 NC) in Owen Co IN 1842 and also settled in McLean Co IL Would appreciate any help, and would be happy to share my Pollard info.
