I know he was born in NC and the IL 1880 census records say his parents were from VA. He was born in 1824 according to our family Bible, married Eliza Jane Hord from KY in Owen Co, IN in 1848. I'm trying to get to the NC connection, in the hope it will get me to the VA Pollards. I know it could be a different branch, but if you get any info, I'd be happy if you'd share it, and I'll do the same.
