The one George that I have that may fit, the son of John Pollard (b1760) and Katherine Nichols. could possible be the one that you are looking for. I have no additonal information on him. Does your cencus report show where he was born? One interesting piece of data from your note is that my grandfather was born in AR in in Dec 1874, according to the 1880 cencus, but I can find no addional info on that event. His name was William Sam Pollard. His parents had been living in Paris TX just prior to and after. Ray Pollard
