    3. The William Pollard Senr. (II) referred to in the Indenture is the son of William Pollard (I) (my gggggg grandfather) and his wife Elizabeth Gholson, the daughter of Anthony Gholson. William Pollard (I) died in 1747 in Orange County, Virginia and left a will in which he named his son William Pollard (II) (the Senior referred to in the Indenture). William Pollard (II) appears in Wilkes County, Georgia records in the 1780's. His wife was Alcy (family name unknown). They had the following children: James, William (III), Thomas, Joseph, Elizabeth, Alcy (a male), John, Robert, and the Melindy Pollard (who is named in the Indenture). Melindy Pollard married John Barrett Brewer in February 1794 in Wilkes County, Georgia. William Pollard (II) married a second time (at a very old age) on May 30, 1803 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia, Mary Ann Allen and he had a second set of six children by her. John Barrett Brewer in a document on May 20, 1834 in Montgomery County, Alabama declared that he would be seventy-one years old in August next, thus born in August 1763.. He was born in Louisa County, Virginia. His father was Sackville Brewer and his mother was Martha White. John Barrett's father had moved to Charlotte County, Virginia where John Barrett entered military service in January 1781. He served until April. He died on July 6, 1844 in Macon County, Alabama. He and Melindy Pollard had two known children: Sarah White Brewer, born about 1800 in Georgia, married Benjamin Carter Scott, died in 1838 in Macon County, Alabama; and John P. Brewer, married Susannah J. Townsend on August 23, 1833 in Pike County, Alabama. > [Original Message] > From: <bjatkinson@juno.com> > To: <POLLARD-L@rootsweb.com> > Date: 5/23/2004 2:06:30 PM > Subject: [POLLARD] William Pollard Sr. Washington Co GA > > This transcribed document was provided to me my Dot in FL.
