"My" Pollard's settled in Owen Co IN in late 1840's (my GGGrandparents married there in 1848 - George Washington Pollard and Eliza Jane Hord). His occupation was a carpenter there. Then, they settled in Ashmore, Coles Co IL and stayed and farmed there. I corresponded with someone who had researched Uriah Pollard in Owen Co IN and settled in CA but we could not make a connection.
