Ray, What part of TN is your Pollards located? I am working on the Pollards who came to White Co., TN from VA. Edward Varner Pollard, Sr. & his wife, Thairsa "Thursy" (Pettus) Pollard were in White Co., TN sometime in 1827 as their 3rd child, William, was born here in White Co. In 1855 / 1856, Edward, Sr's son, Isaac Denton Pollard, went to Denton Co., TX. Isaac Denton Pollard married Sarah Francis Grundy, 22 Mar 1865, Cooke Co., TX. Isaac & Sarah had 6 children; 2 sons & 4 daughters; both sons died young. Isaac had several nephews, Edward, Isaac & Asa Pollard, and a niece, Elizabeth (Pollard) Helton, who ended up in TX (they are the children of William & Nancy (Cantrell) Pollard). William is a brother to Isaac. (John, my husband, descends from Edward Varner Pollard, Jr., brother to William & Isaac. If any of this sounds familiar to any Pollard researcher, I would appreciate hearing from you. Geraldine my husband's family.
