In the Indiana Marriage Index for Owen Co, also listed was Elizabeth S Pollard who married Stephen Brown 20may1845 and Isabel F or A Pollard who married Rufus W Wood 30may1842. In the 1880 census, it appears that both families were living in McLean Co IL. I'm hoping they were GW's sisters. Does anyone have any information on the parents of either of the Pollard women? I don't have any help for these lines but am looking for family of Sarah Cynthia Pollard. According to secondhand info for which I have no documentation, Sarah Cynthia was born ca 1725 in Virginia, married John Bickerstaff, and died in Franklin Co, GA in 1796. According to some researchers who are working on the Bickerstaff family, this is not correct info for them, and my main reason for continuing to look is that my line comes through John & Sarah Cynthia's grandson whose given name was Pollard. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Good morning, I think I will be adding to the confusion, but a lot of the information you have been posting as to the Pollards from Va to Ky, etc. appears to be similiar to what info I have on my Pollard family. I have not been working on my line for some time , but I now live close to Shelbyville and have seen some of the records there in the library, but did not have time to research them. If you do not hear from the woman who posted previously, let me know and I will go there and get some copies made of their info. I have also been looking for the Pollard family book, but to no avail. I will try to compare your info previously posted to the info I have.
