Hi Sally, Have you traced back where in Ireland your Pollards came from. My GGrandfather was Patrick Pollard b in Ireland in Tipperary, Ballingarry Parish. I have been lucky in tracing back to Ireland and his parents as well. I was fortunate enough to find Patrick's Marriage Certificate which gave me his parents and a mention of Ballingary on an obit of his presumed brother in NY. Form there it unraveled a huge mystery... The largest concentration of Pollards where collected in the Ballingarry town and surrounding Townlands in County Tipperary. Do you have any information on Patrick or Mary's Parents names? Good Luck to you. They remained in Baltimore City at least from 1850-1930. They seemed to have not strayed very far, usually living on S. Paca St. or W. As stated in my earlier email, I had found 7 or 8 other siblings for the Thomas Pollard from Coventry, England that you had written about who settled in Bellerica. His one brother I think is an ancestor of mine. I would just like someone to confirm if possible that Thomas Pollard had other siblings, by way of parish searches, etc. My great, great grandmother was a Pollard from Coventry, England. Her parents were Daniel POLLARD and Eliza PICKARD. Daniel being a descendant of possibly William Pollard and Mary Farmer. Yes, that would be great if you could search in the library to see if there is any information from the England ancestors. Sharon

Both the Pollard and Farmer name are big in Billerica, MA and there is a Pollard library in Lowell, MA. I can check a book on the Pollard family in the Nashua, NH library if you want, but it won't be until after Easter. I am not a member of the Pollard family, but posted the info I found for someone else, so other people might benefit. Shanon

I am a descendant of Sarah Pollard and Thomas Wootton. I have been reading on this site and others that there was a Thomas Pollard, b. about 1670 who emigrated to the USA and who was the son of William Pollard and Mary Farmer. I am searching my Pollard family tree which seems to be leading back to the William Pollard and Mary Farmer ancestors. I am trying to verify their children. I think that Thomas Pollard, their son, b. about 1670 and who emigrated to the USA, had other siblings. In fact seven according to my searches. These children were: Elizabeth, b. about 1666; Nataniel, b. about 1673; Joseph, b. 1672; James, b. 1674; William, christened 1671; John, b. July 9, 1675 (my ancestor); Mary, c. Dec. 13, 1680. John Pollard married Katherine? about 1699. I am a descendent of this marriage. Does anyone have any information in this regard?

I have even had several people who do look-ups in Cornwall offer assistance. Everything in family stories indicate the family was of Cornish heritage though. Jane

There is a portion of an old (1919) Altoona Newspaper Headline about 4 generations of the Plunket family getting together for the birth of a child. I guess they are descendants of the original married couple.
