He has a son named Richard, but we have no knowledge of a half-sister. Our history of the family is sketchy. We would love to find out more. Richard has three children from his first marriage to Sally Jo Hunter Lawson, MO. Michael Wayne Pollard is in Laredo Texas and has frequent contact with Richard. Lori Lynn Pollard Sweeney lives in Ozark, MO and does not have contact with her father. Stephen Hunter Pollard lives in Omaha Arkansas and has intermittent contact with his father. I am in the process of locating an address for Richard through Stephen. When I have one, I will pass it on. We would like to have the information that you have though.

    3. I have what I believe to be my GGrandfather Patrick Pollard that enlisted in Lexington, Ky. in 1872. I cannot be positive that it is him but I have a high level of confidence. He said he was from Tipperary on his re-enlistment documents in 1877. His first enlistment stated he was a store clerk. Family history said he was very good with horses and worked in the Buffalo Bill show later in the 1880's. I recently found that the horsemanship was accurate as his other sibling that remained in Ireland were known to be very good with horses. Any connection with Lexington or Tipperary. I always wondered how Patrick made his way to Lexington and then to enlist in the army. I figured that maybe he knew other Pollards there that had left Ireland before him at went on to meet them. Any connection/information would be great. The 1900 census shows James H. and Mary E. Pollard with seven children. Sallie H., Ida B., Willie F., Jennie, Russell T., James H., and Earl J. James H. and Mary E. are buried in the Eolia Methodist cemetery with their son Russell T. (died age 10).Do you know what the uncle's name was that James came to live with? There were several families of Pollard's in Eolia. Mine was Henry J. Pollard and William H. Pollard. They came from Albemarle County Virginia in the late 1830's. It is possible the all the Pollard families were related backin Virginia, but I can prove it yet. William
