My line, Etheldred Pollard and this Joshua Pollard have been bondsman for each other and were born about the same time, in the same area, and my gut feeling tells me that they are related, but just haven't found anything to tie them together. Their parents were Philip Floy Pollard and Lieu C. Philip was the son of Samuel and Mary Pollard. This family lived in Georgia in 1860 and later moved to Iuka, MS. Sam and second wife Louisa moved to Hillsboro, TX in 1898. He supposedly died in 1902 and that is where his trail ends.

Maire McCain: My research shows that Narcissa Pollard was the daughter of Joseph Pollard, born abt. 1770, died abt. 1849 in Chattooga County, Georgia, and his second wife, Charity Johnson. They married on May 10, 1831 in Jackson County, Georgia. Roberta: The book "The History of Fayette County, GA" states that Fayette County Marriage Records, Book A, page 57, shows that Irvin Pollard married Malinda Walker on March 4, 1827 and according to Marriage Book B, page 124, he married Fanny Morgan on August 29, 1838 in Fayette County, GA.. Also, the book "Georgia Marriages 1826-1850", by Liahona Research, Heritage Quest, Bountiful, Utah (1999) shows both marriages with the same dates. If my memory is correct I have viewed on microfilm at the Georgia State Archives these Fayette County Marriage Record Books. Pollard born 1848 in NY. A William is buried in a cemetery in Tompkins Co and died abt 1856, not sure if this is Uriah's father. Uriah was my GGrandfather. Uriah's mother was Marilla Niver Pollard (later Hull) She is a single mother of Uriah and James Pollard in the 1850 census of Caroline NY. She appears later in Tioga Co NY in 1870 as a Hull but again a single mother. William was born in Vermont I believe.
