Barbara, What guarantee do they give you that they will return these same two documents to you. I wonder if they woudl accept notorized copies of them. Are the two records you have notorized. Back in those times, the midwives would not file the records and keep the filing fee they received from the parents of a newborn child. This may be that type of situation. Go to http://www.stevemorse.org. In the spot where you put in a town name type in Nozdrzec. Click on Search. You will get a list of 53 people from that village who came to the US. You may have many more family members from there in the US. There is a Walenty Toczak listed form Nozdrzec at this site. He went to Allentown in 1912. The 1925 Slownik Geograficzny show that Dynow is only 7 kilometers from Nozdrzec. Was he born in Nozdrzec or did he live there before leaving for the US?
