    3. Hi Folks, Two weeks ago, I sent a letter to the Catholic parish in Brzeszcze Poland with a donation of $10. I figured it would be some time before I would hear anything back. But yesterday, I got a letter back with baptismal & marriage information on my great-aunt, Anna Szalasna. On the baptismal sheet was a mark that I am taking to be February, 7, 15, house # 159. I believe the 7 was her date of birth and the 15 was her baptismal date, not sure if I am reading the mark though. She was a legitimate child of Martinus Szal~asny, son of Joseph & Marian (nee Tyrna) and Agnes, daughter of Martini Chichy & Catharina (nee Kulczyk). Her sponsors were Josephus Cichulak (variation of Chichy????) & Anna Ligsza... It appears the priest got the informatin from the Liber Natarium et Baptisatorium (spelling may be off) III,r.50,ur 7... Her marriage to Franciscus Janik, son of Anthony & Julianna Pasier, house # 78, he is Catholic, then under the column Aetas is 27, Caelebs is 1, I think that means he was 27 years old. It has been too many years since I had Latin.... and Anna's information repets her parent's name and I believe she was 24 yrs old, if my guess is correct for Frank. Their witnesses were Paulus Czernaj & Joannes Janik. The priest got this information from Liber Copulatorium I,r.38,w 78.... He also wrote a letter, in Polish, that I think is stating that his church Sw. Urbana was founded in 1904 and I would need to write to the church in Oswiecim for more documents. Again my Polish is rusty, but I will see if I can get a better translation. Meanwhile, if he is indeed advising me to write to the church in Oswiecium, I can't seem to find one use the Mass link nor does the LDS list anything other than church records for army burials. While I think that some of my father's family may have been in the army, I am also looking for births. Should I just address my letter to Parafia Krzymskokotatolicka Oswiecim Poland but what would be the post office code to use? Thank you in advance.
