Has anyone actually been able to read any of the NY times articles for free?? It seems that they want to charge per article after one obtains the article title. I followed Tina's procedure and only obtain a number of article headings. Then, a "Buy Now" $3.95 offer. JD
I have found several articles that were available at no charge. I, for one, am really pleased that I have some access where there was NO access before. Not everything is available without charge. Perhaps the process used by the NY Times to make the files accessible is not completed. Here's what the NY Times said: "In addition to opening the entire site to all readers, The Times will also make available its archives from 1987 to the present without charge, as well as those from 1851 to 1922, which are in the public domain. There will be charges for some material from the period 1923 to 1986, and some will be free."
