I just spotted this message but haven't noticed any English translation of it - it could be very useful to someone. Mr Zbigniew Glowka says he is in the possession of the complete set of parish registers for the parish of Straconek (area Bielsko-Biala) and mentions some occurring surnames - Pisch/Piesch/Pysz,Santorossa, Horecki, Przyby?a, Klimczok, Gasi?ski, G??wka, Krywult,Dudziak. He goes on to says that he has a good relationship with parishes near Andrychow (some surnames there are Kud?acik, Walusiak, Panek, Potempa, Gasi?ski). he would like to help with genealogical reearch in the old western Galicia and Wielkopolska (areas around Gniezno, ?erkowo, Jarocin, Ostrow Wielkopolski) Obviously I have had no contact with him - I have just translated his message - Ihe may be looking for paid work although nothing in the message actually indicates that - he may just be a fellow genealogist wanting to be helpful. I'm guessing he has no English since he wrote in Polish but that may also be wrong. Anyway - could be helpful to someone needing information from the named areas.
