The inappropriate posts which have come our way are an invasion of my free time and hobby. How would the senders like it if I barged in on their bowling, gardening, watching of tv, listening to a concert, sewing a tapestry, painting or sculpting, playing their piano? When I open an email from this list it is my time away from the news, politics and sufferings of the world. When I'm done with my interaction with the listers, I can get back to problems that have not been solved in my absence. Perhaps I will be a bit refreshed and have a mind a tad clearer as a result of my minutes of pure diversion. As much as I respect peoples' motivations, all technicalities regarding freedom of speech and invasion of our privacy aside, there are boundaries of courtesy that must be respected. I am in favor of common courtesy.
