    3. My grandmother came in June of 1909. Her name was Apolonia Starzak. She wasn't married until 19ll and that was in Utica New York. I coundn't find her on the 1910 census in Pa or New York, however I did ask the list about the census and someone posted a possibility for my grandmother from it was in NY. I really don't know anything about her from the time she came here until she married, and the cigar favtory info came from a cousin, but she said that is all she knows. Her married name was Toczek. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tina Ellis" <polska.research@gmail.com> To: <polandbordersurnames@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, November 25, 2007 5:44 PM Subject: Re: [PBS] Northampton, Pa > What was her maiden name and her married name? > > Tina > > On Nov 25, 2007 1:16 PM, Barbara <toomanycrafts@verizon.net> wrote: >> Tina, >> After reading your information posted below, I decided to respond by >> asking >> a few questions about the areas you listed. 2. For Barbara:? My grandparents were Starynszczak's.? That name has also been spelled Starschak, Starzcyk, Starzak and many other versions. There was a Polonia "Starynszczak" in our family.? They came from Maciejowa and settled in Cleveland.? Perhaps you can check the Ohio census, Cuyahoga and Geauga county and you may find some connections.? My family is a very difficult one to research.? They had so many name variations and so little information that they were willing to share.? It has been a struggle and I hope your research is more furitful than mine.? The best of luck to you. ????????? Barb ps A note to Tina Ellis --- you are unbelievable in your knowledge and your ability to help so many people.? You are a remarkable person. -----Original Message----- From: Barbara <toomanycrafts@verizon.net> To: polandbordersurnames@rootsweb.com Sent: Mon, 26 Nov 2007 10:20 am Subject: Re: [PBS] Northampton, Pa My grandmother came in June of 1909.
