Many times there were misunderstandings on when people would be arriving at Ellis Island. I think it is saying that the last time they heard from the person that they were to meet when they arrived. It's written next to the name and address of the person's home where they were going when they arrived. Heard from x number of days ago. Does that mean that the passenger said she heard that Alene arrived 8 weeks ago? I still have not found my gmother's original trip. I was hoping that the notation would help me narrow down when she came into the country in 1909. > Pat > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to POLANDBORDERSURNAMES-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message >
