Hi, I'm looking for Info for my Grandfather, Karl Sivy, born 1880 in Konsku, Teschen, which I heard was in Czech. LDS didn't have nothing in Czech. There is a debate whether it is in Poland or Czech. I think I would need to know which one, yes? Any help? Al Wegner
Hi Alfred: I would search at this site for your Surnames. What was Poland was Czech and vice versa sometimes. Next I would earch the LDS for other countries too. My ancestors Siedlarczyk Strus Bednarik Bednaczyk were Polish but were from Austria. The Wielgus Wielgosz came from Kielce Poland but at a certain point in History it was Russia.
