    2. ?? Oh my gosh, I have never heard of anyone outside of my family ever mention? /gah waump kees/ !? My mother told us that the word meant "little pigeon".? When my children were small I used the word as a term of endearment. ?? My mother would make them about four or five times a year.? We all loved them and periodically I would make them for my family. -----Original Message----- From: Jay Leach <jbird0490@yahoo.com> To: polandbordersurnames@rootsweb.com Sent: Mon, 16 Jul 2007 7:57 pm Subject: [PBS] stuffed cabbage All I know is when my mom said it, it sounded like: gah-wump-kee. We had it at family gatherings mostly when she could get away with serving it to us kids. Not too bad actually. I remember it as the cabbage version of take-out chinese dumplings. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to POLANDBORDERSURNAMES-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message ________________________________________________________________________ AOL now offers free email to everyone.
