Hi Julianne, Yes, Ojciec is father and Kwietcien is April Marzec is March You probably will not get the exact words in a dictionary as you translate. Polish endings change for declension. Not at all like English. Our words usually stay the same with words added around them. Polish words just change endings or keep adding onto the word. for instance, healthy - zdrowy most healthy - najzdrowy I do not understand Polish well, but we were taught Polish grammar when I took Polish language lessons. But without a person to practice with, I cannot speak or understand Polish very well. Someday...... Noreen Hello everyone, I have just recieved a photo of my great grandfathers grave and am trying to translate it, as it is in polish. The first word OJCIEC is in polish and poltran translated it for me as father, daddy ect... the next is a month KWIETNIA- I can't get an accurate translation on this- I believe it is April, but no program will translate it in any language. There is another month MARCA- same results as above I believe this to be march. any help would be appreciated so that I can get his death certificate. Thank you Julianne ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
