Where is his family from and is the spelling of the last name correct? I ask because after many yrs of searching my grandfather's mother's family I have found that the name was not Findrick, Fredrick or Frederick but Fendrych. They were first in the Brooklyn NY and then moved to the Pennsylvania or Ohio area. My grandfather arrived at Ellis Island in 1908 eventually settling in Massachusetts. When Grandpa first came to America in 1908 he went to his uncle Teofil Findrick in Brooklyn, NY. I found that Teofil may have had a brother 'R' that may have been in the US before him. I know that Teofil was in NY in 1908. Teofil has also been spelled as Theophil. Some time during the 1950's some of the family remembers Grandpa going to either Penn or Ohio to visit cousins. Paulina Fendrych, my Grandfather's mother was born in Leman Poland. Teofil is her brother.
