I found a few trees for the Schacher surname at: http://tribalpages.com/tribe/ancestors?fname=&lname=schacher&dyf=&dyt= With transcription and translation errors, any spelling that sounds the same could be a possible match. But there also are a lot of hits for your exact Shacher surname at http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi Maybe researchers of the same surname can tell you a lot more if you contact the ones whose trees seem like your family might be related. ------------------------------ Message: 2 Date: Mon, 1 Dec 2008 12:08:31 -0500 From: "Jim Onyschuk" <[email protected]> Subject: [PBS] Next TUGG Meeting To: "EPOSHTA2" <[email protected]>, <[email protected]>, <[email protected]>, "INFOUKES" <[email protected]>, "KONTACT" <[email protected]>, <[email protected]> Message-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" The Next Meeting of the Toronto Ukrainian Genealogy Group - (TUGG) Will be held on Saturday May 10, 2008 Tour of the Toronto Reference Library's Genealogy Resources Located at 789 Yonge St, one block north of Bloor Street. >From 2:00 ? 4:00 pm Contact: Jim Onyschuk (905)-841-6707 ------------------------------ Message: 3 Date: Mon, 01 Dec 2008 18:34:13 +0100 From: Tom <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [PBS] Tom in Poland To: [email protected] Message-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-2 Hello Jan Thanks for your suggestions. I think the same like you. Those are dates of previous trips. I case Adam Zakrzewski I found his ship manifest. He arrived first time to USA in Jan 1913. But the big problem is with Wladyslawa Slodkowska. I can't find her. How do you think if this date Feb 1911 treats about her trip to US? And also I can't read this date below Feb 1911. Do you have any idea what the date can be? What do you think about this long number? Does can be passport numbers? Kind regards from Poland Tom [email protected] napisa?(a): > On the ships manifast, you are correct in assuming that if there are dates in the column "whether ever in the US before" they are of previous trips. I found 3 sets of numbers for my grandfather in that location and I have found 2 of the 3 where he had made previous trips. The 1st trip was to Castle Garden but I eventually found him there. I still have one more trip to find but know with time, it will be found. > Good luck, > Jan > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message ------------------------------ Message: 4 Date: Mon, 1 Dec 2008 15:32:52 -0500 From: "Jim Onyschuk" <[email protected]> Subject: [PBS] FW: Next TUGG Meeting To: <[email protected]>, <[email protected]>, <[email protected]>, "'INFOUKES'" <[email protected]>, "'KONTACT'" <[email protected]>, <[email protected]> Message-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Please disregard the previous TUGG message.
