Left click on the image and you should get a box in the upper left hand corner with 4 icons. This will include an icon of a disc to save and an icon of a printer to print. Hope this helps Laura ________________________________ From: Margie Hicks <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, February 20, 2009 4:05:15 PM Subject: Re: [PBS] Ellis Island manifests I used to be able to do a right click on the manifest and print it. In about the past year this has not worked. A message pops from internet explorer that this function has been disdabled and I have yet to figure out how to get it to work I cannot pay $18 or more for every copy of a manifest I want and it is hard to write down everything. I do have the forms for this but it takes a long time to write everying out if you can even firgure out what it says maybe someone else know how to do it Margaret Hicks ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barbara" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, February 20, 2009 10:56 AM Subject: [PBS] Ellis Island manifests > Hi, > Maybe this question has been addressed already, but I don't recall seeing > information on if it is possible to do what I would like. The people who wrote the webpage may have disabled your ability to do some kinds of saving. I was just reading about javascript that can do that. And I think Ellis Island won't let you save the image the normal way. But you still should be able to either save a copy of the whole page you are viewing to your hard drive, or take a screen shot, but I don't know how as I run Linux.
