    2. Not all marriage records give the name of the parents. This is not unusual. It all depends where the LDS filmed the records. If the records were filmed in the church archive then the parents names might not be listed. Often the priests used a differet format for their own records vs. the records that they sent to the civil archives. This has been frustrating for me also. I have one ancestor who was married in 1818, the marriage record does not name the name of the parents. She was born in another parish whose records are not available.
