I have family that moved to Uruguay and Brazil. This happened during the depression. One was in 1929 and the other in 1930. There was work there, and not in the US. These two came from the same parish in Poland. I have no idea if they knew where each other were. No one living today has said anything about them knowing. The grandson of the one that went to Uruguay found me through a message board. A cousin in Poland found me through another message board. His grandfather told me about his first cousin moving to Brazil. I found that man's son and eight other children. 2009/12/20 peekaboobrat <peekaboobrat@yahoo.com> > My only known ancestors, who went to Brazil,. are the SIEDLARCZYK Family > Does anyone have this surname or any history on how the Polish people > decided to go to Brazil South America? > Joanie Wielgus > ------------------ > --- On Fri, 9/1/06, chrishuk@aol.com <chrishuk@aol.com> wrote: > From: chrishuk@aol.com <chrishuk@aol.com> > Subject: Re: [PBS] Family Piasecki from Koziczynek - Ciechanów > To: PolandBorderSurnames-L@rootsweb.com > Date: Friday, September 1, 2006, 7:42 PM > The Church of the Latter Day Saints (LDS) have filmed the church records > from the Koziczynek parish.
