John, There is a Giełczyn south of Łomża and about 7 miles south of Giełczyn is Duchny Stare. This may be a possibility worth exploring. John, I just looked at your Grandfather's manifest listing and it indeed does include Łomża after Gelczyn, so I think that this combination of places seems likely to be the area to explore. There are two people named Gajewski and one Gajewska listed on ksiazka-telefoniczna.com, as currently living in Łomża. Giełczyn is only 3.5 miles south of Łomża. Good luck.
