    3. Your best bet is to try to find a marriage record. They usually show where a person was born and the name of their parish. The father of the bride pays for the wedding, so remember people normally marry in the bride's parish. If you have not know where he ws born or went to church, that record needs to be found. Another thing people need to keep in mind is that token gratuities bring token results. Priests in Poland do not have secretaries and clerks as they do in the US to handle this type of tedious work. Yes ... it is work. Their time is as valuable as any other persons. Donations are what keep the churches standing. If he is helping us and is does not care for his flock, they will not care for him or the church. If he spends hours going through the books and gets a token, he will not be receptive to the next person who wants to occupy his time for hours going through dusty old books. I'm not saying you slighted this priest, but others need to consider all of this. I think I have put enough places on your plate to search. See what you can find in the Lwow records and than take another course if you have no results.
