The Protestant church records for Kleszczow are in the archiwum Panstwowo in Piotrkowie Trybunalski ul Torunaska 4. They have the birth records for 1844, 1870-1890 and the marriage and death records for 1844. These are the only records that they have. Warsaw archives would not have any records for this area. You may want to contact the archives in Piotrkowie Trybunalski and ask them to do a search fo their Hipotek records which would be land sales and purchases and those would give the names of the deceased father. I don't know if the archives would want a fee before they start. -----Original Message----- From: Max Stachowski <maxstac@295.ca> To: PolandBorderSurnames@rootsweb.com Sent: Fri, Feb 26, 2010 1:56 pm Subject: [PBS] Marriage info of Ancestor in Poland Looking for Marriage Info. of Gr. Grand parents STACHOWSKI, Ludwig, nd RIEDNER, Susanna, in Belchatow, Petricow, Poland, about 1869. They must have left their ancestral home in Klesszczow (Susanna's irth place), Belkatow, Lods, Poland (probably with many other illagers), and lived in Popilowka, Vladimir Volinsk, Volhinia from 870 on, where their 8 children were born. Here comes our difficulty: According to my uncle's 'story', Ludwig ad one brother (Polar Explorer) and another (went to America). He llegedly was the son of "(Baron) Alex..... von Stachosk". (none of hom I could locate) What I did find in Porziewice, Belchatow, was a Jan Ludwig tachowski, ( all his brothers died in infancy ), the oldest son of a an Ludwig. After about 20 years (on and off) researching, I still have not been ble to find a successful link. hope, a marriage record of Ludwig and Susanna (none found in olhinia ) would state his parents. Also, there seem to be no known rotestant church records of Kleszczow of that time. (we tried to ontact the matrices office in Warsaw for civil records, via e-mail, ut got no response). Any help or further 'hint' would be greatly appreciated.
