    2. Not all marriage records give the name of the parents. This is not unusual. It all depends where the LDS filmed the records. If the records were filmed in the church archive then the parents names might not be listed. Often the priests used a differet format for their own records vs. the records that they sent to the civil archives. This has been frustrating for me also. I have one ancestor who was married in 1818, the marriage record does not name the name of the parents. She was born in another parish whose records are not available. The civil archives do not have the records for the marriage parish. -----Original Message----- From: Tina Ellis <polska.research@gmail.com> To: polandbordersurnames@rootsweb.com Sent: Tue, Dec 1, 2009 2:19 am Subject: Re: [PBS] baptism records That's strange. 3. Hi, It does sound strange that the groom's parents are not listed on the entry you have found. Did you locate the actual entry or just an index? If the groom's parents are not listed in the Church entry there is a risk they will also be missing from a certificate from the Archives. Do you have a copy of the entry you already have which you can send? And perhaps the FHL Film number you used in case anyone else happens to be looking at the same one? There are many people who have registered an interest in Flatow here: http://www.kartenmeister.com/preview/Results.asp and also many references to Flatow on http://boards.rootsweb.com/ You might also like to look at archives for various mailing lists: http://lists.rootsweb.ancestry.com/ Kind regards, Bronwyn. 3. For Julian, the first page shows his last residence as Lempitz. His mother was Ludwika, and she lived in Lempitz, Grodno. Second page shows he was born in Lempice. Łempice wieś (village) 166 osób (population) woj. podlaskie (province) pow. grajewski (county) gmina Wąsosz (administrative district) Łempice wieś 200 osób woj. podlaskie pow. wysokomazowiecki gmina Ciechanowiec I think it's the first one I listed. Going to work on the other one inconjunction with Alexander. don't seem to be doing well with that one. 3. Hi Linda, the document is 1 page, handwritten and it is in response to a letter I sent inquiring about a potential family relationship. From the wording that I can make out, I think the sender may be confirming some sort of relationship. I hope this is helpful Dave.
