    3. I've seen so many people get help here I wonder if anyone can give me any suggestions for locating two people on the 1910 census. This is a missing link for me. I have baptism papers from Poland for both my grandparents, marriage certificate from 1911, I have the 1920 and 1930 but can find no record for 1910. I've tried Heritage Quest and Ancestry. Because they were not married then could it be that because they were boarders they were never listed? Thanks for your help. > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > POLANDBORDERSURNAMES-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' > without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message > ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to POLANDBORDERSURNAMES-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    3. Hi Barbara, Did the 1911 marriage record give a street address? Perhaps you can check the census manually if you have an address. Also, you can try checking city directories. 2. Suzanne Edstrom
    3. HI, I have written before and can't seem to find what I need so hoping some one might have some new ideals. I am searching for my G-grandparents Thomas and Veronica Zblewski from Germany/Poland. I have found Thomas Zblewski birth record at Brusy,Poland on 15Dec1860 and Veronica Rafinska was born on 2Feb1854 at Zalesie,Poland. They were Catholic. What I am trying to find is where they came to US. It should have been Castle Gardens but no results. I found them on census 1895,1900,1905,1910,1920 &1930 living in Perham, Ottertail County,.MN. From Thomas Naturalization record stated he came to US on 15June,1889, census stating them came to US 1888-1890 He would have come to US with wife Veronica and children Lucy age 12, Johanna 10 and Cecelia age 7 in year 1889. I have searched various ships and immigration records with no results and just can't seem to get past this brick wall!!!! Hoping someone has some new ideals how to go about this. Thank You, Suzanne

    3. There are 5 churches in Oświęcim. Go to this site: http://www.genpol.com/. Click on Katalog zasobow metrykalynch. In the white box next to Miejscowosc, type in O*wi*cim, and click on your enter key. You will find the 5 churches. Check to find out which ones are old enough to possibly have records your need. This should help you move on with your research. 3. Hi Folks, Two weeks ago, I sent a letter to the Catholic parish in Brzeszcze Poland with a donation of $10. I figured it would be some time before I would hear anything back. But yesterday, I got a letter back with baptismal & marriage information on my great-aunt, Anna Szalasna. On the baptismal sheet was a mark that I am taking to be February, 7, 15, house # 159. I believe the 7 was her date of birth and the 15 was her baptismal date, not sure if I am reading the mark though. She was a legitimate child of Martinus Szal~asny, son of Joseph & Marian (nee Tyrna) and Agnes, daughter of Martini Chichy & Catharina (nee Kulczyk). Her sponsors were Josephus Cichulak (variation of Chichy????) & Anna Ligsza... It appears the priest got the informatin from the Liber Natarium et Baptisatorium (spelling may be off) III,r.50,ur 7... Her marriage to Franciscus Janik, son of Anthony & Julianna Pasier, house # 78, he is Catholic, then under the column Aetas is 27, Caelebs is 1, I think that means he was 27 years old. It has been too many years since I had Latin.... and Anna's information repets her parent's name and I believe she was 24 yrs old, if my guess is correct for Frank. Their witnesses were Paulus Czernaj & Joannes Janik. The priest got this information from Liber Copulatorium I,r.38,w 78.... He also wrote a letter, in Polish, that I think is stating that his church Sw. Urbana was founded in 1904 and I would need to write to the church in Oswiecim for more documents. Again my Polish is rusty, but I will see if I can get a better translation. Meanwhile, if he is indeed advising me to write to the church in Oswiecium, I can't seem to find one use the Mass link nor does the LDS list anything other than church records for army burials. While I think that some of my father's family may have been in the army, I am also looking for births. Should I just address my letter to Parafia Krzymskokotatolicka Oswiecim Poland but what would be the post office code to use? Thank you in advance. 3. There are 6 churches in Oświęcim. Go to this site: http://www.genpol.com/. Click on Katalog zasobow metrykalynch. In the white box next to Miejscowosc, type in O*wi*cim, and click on your enter key. You will find the 6 churches. Check to find out which ones are old enough to possibly have records your need. This should help you move on with your research. 3. Hello Tina Yes I have found out over the years that the place named Koszalin , has had different names. I have checked several FHL films and have not found the elusive HAACK or DEVONSKE birth or marriage records in the church microfilms. As soon as possible I plan on checking some civil records that cover the time span ,in that They would have married .
