If you are searching for the surname Obiedzinski from Obiedzino Gorne in the Paluki parish or Mosaki Rukle in the Krasne parish?I can give you a direct line to the year 1420. But only for the Obiezinski family in the Paluki parish or Krasne parish. Both are the offspring from the same base family. You would have to have done research to the early 1800s to be able to connect with my information as my main focus was from the 15th to the 18th centuries. -----Original Message----- From: G OBIEDZINSKI <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Sun, 23 Nov 2008 1:33 pm Subject: Re: [PBS] Collaberate I have but it's not to good for Obiedzinski. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Tina Ellis Sent: Sunday, November 23, 2008 1:32 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [PBS] Collaberate Have you used the Poznan Project? Tina, The extra information he has is no trick. It is simply that contained in the Pop-up window linked via the last two columns of data labeled Uwagi and Dodał. If there is no icon in that column, there is no further information. I wish we could collaborate with sites such as these!!!! I wrote a note to the author of the files that contained Obiedzinski but I got an out of office reply and he will not return till Dec 5. Unfortunately, I can't red or write Polish. If we gave them names of our ancestors in the US and they gave us results like these we could really make progress. George
I have done considerable research on the Grabowski family from the following parishes: Zielona, Krasne, Paluki and Makow. If anyone is researching the Grabowski family from any of those parishes I can give you much information. Unfortunately, the Grabowski surname is very common in Poland and I know NOTHING about that surname except in the above parishes. My many times great grandmother was Kunegunda Grabowski married to Grzegosz Slaski. I was able to obtain her will from 1787. I can go back in a straight line to her ancestors to the year 1530. the family owned the village of Grabowo Trojany and Niesiobedy both in the Zielona parish (in the old province of Ciechanow). I also have information about the Grabowski family from Grabowo Gesie again in the Zielona parish. The last information I received from an elderly gentleman in Grabowo Gesie who had a large handwritten ancestral tree which he permitted me to copy. I also have ancestors from this line. Kunegunda Grabowska both in 1762 and 1776 went to court to petition the court to receive the estates of her siblings who died childless. According to Polish law if a person died without issue their part of the estate reverted back to their next of blood kin and not to their spouses. Because Kundegunda was the only one of her siblings to have children, she inherited all of her father's estate. There was even another court case where she petitioned the court to have her sister in law removed from the Grabowski property in Grabowo Trojany, -----Original Message----- From: G OBIEDZINSKI <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Sun, 23 Nov 2008 12:04 pm Subject: [PBS] Trick Another trick about the site: http://www.geneteka.genealodzy.pl/ When you get the results for births and you copy and paste it to a notepad file you miraculously can see the names of the parents of most of the children. If you look under mazowieckie <http://www.geneteka.genealodzy.pl/index.php?op=gt&w=07mz> province for births for Grabowski there is like 4 pages of them. George
How about the LDS Catalog for microfilmed records or the state archives in Poland? Have you tried them? On Sun, Nov 23, 2008 at 12:08 PM, Sarah Krein <[email protected]> wrote: > Yes, no luck! Another trick about the site: http://www.geneteka.genealodzy.pl/ When you get the results for births and you copy and paste it to a notepad file you miraculously can see the names of the parents of most of the children. George Obiedzinski
Hello, I found the following site which many of you probably already know about: http://www.geneteka.genealodzy.pl/ I you click on Podlaskie it will bring you to another page. Where it says ksiega open the pull down menu. There you can select (B) births, (D) deaths or (S) marriages. Where it says Nazwisko enter your surname. Then press the search button. (Wyszukaj) On the right side there is also a pull down menu. Put that on 50. For Grabowski there are 43 results under births. Under marriages 25 results. Maybe you can find some old relatives? I don't think the site is complete but is a work in progress George Obiedzinski -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Harris R.
