Dragon, Sorry 'bout that. Maybe I should have made it clearer as to which way I am going. I am trying to go backwards, to try to find Frank and Josephine's parents. I think that was Josephine (Jaconiska) in the 1870 census in Toledo, with her? parent's, Andrew and Jaconiska Jacoposky. But I am trying to find proof. Maybe she was a niece, and not a daughter? The 1870 census does not specify how she was related to them. Yes, that's my Frank in the 1880 Bellevue census, with other children, and the 1900 census. I didn't mention it in my posting because I was trying to go backwards. I received this e-mail below from Karen. All these people belong to my family. Bertha was my grandmother. She married Charles Micolichek. Stanislaus and Joseph were Bertha's brothers. Frank and Josephine are buried at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Pine Grove, New Denmark, Brown County, Wisconsin, as well as Charles and Bertha, and Wladislaus (John Walter). Joseph died in Rochester, New York. Frances married Peter Preslawske (Preslaski), and is buried in St. Edward and Isadore Church Cemetery, Suamico, Settlement of Flintville, Brown County, Wisconsin. Anna married Stanislaw Bukowski and is buried in St. John The Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery, Howard, Brown County, Wisconsin. I haven't found out the whereabouts of Stanislaus (Klysz) Klish yet. The daughter, Josephine, married a James Philan May 02, 1900 in Menominee, Michigan. I haven't been able to locate them in the census records. Ruth ------------------- >From the same Vital Records page I sent earlier, you will find Birth Bertha Klich July 23, 1883 Birth Stanislaus Kliesch Dec. 7, 1877 Marr of Joseph Klish to Annie Kessner on June 18, 1900 There are some other "Klish" names--you can search by Brown County and put in KLI to see what comes up. Plenty of other possibilities. Perhaps you know on ancestry.com 1880 in Bellevue, Brown, WI is Frank Klies with wife Josephine, daughters Frances and Josephine, sons Wladislaus, Stanislaus, and Joseph 1900 in Bellevue, Brown, WI is Frank Klisch with son Walter and daughters Anna and Bertha Perhaps they would be buried at the Polish Cemetery in Bellevue. You could contact them and ask for burial records. You might also contact the Brown Co Library to locate some old obits. Might give a clue you're looking for. http://www.co.brown.wi.us/library/history-genealogy/index.shtml If you need any help, let me know, I'm in WI.
