    3. Hi, all, I know this is not a specifically Polish genealogy question...feel free to answer me off-list. I have come into a great number of old photos which I have been scanning. Does anyone have any suggestions for software for organizing the photos and labeling them so I can distribute them to family members and also have them for my own collection? Thanks in advance. 3. After scanning them into the computer. Divide them by families. If you are using FTM you can copy them into the scrapbook part of the program under each person. 2008 edition will even allow you to post pictures on the family group sheets. Copy them to CD ----------- Now this is an expensive route so I woud ask family, who wants one and get the money up front. CVS or Walgreens or Walmart (probably others but I have only seen these three in my area) PHOTO department prints bound photo albums. You can take the pictures and put them together like a collage or straight album page mix or match. There are usually about 20 pages. If you get an operator who enjoys their job they will be able to help you get the max in that book. Unhappy operators -----PUSH for what you want. On YOUR computer: there is a company called MYPUBLISHER.com you down load the program into your computer. Pick the number of pictures per page. Insert the pictures into each space. Type a lable under each one. You can add pages for a cost and they reduce the price at certain quantities. Just remember to add postage to your final charge because you are going to have to ship them out and with postage climbing like GAS ---------------- My daughter gave my daughter-in-law one with her daughter's first year of life. IT WAS Amazing. Really nice gift and she was able to put it on her book shelf with the rest of her family books. I can see the future --------- one for each year. Hummmmmmm Since I dont know what "great number" means I am eliminating the obvious. Photosuite is a photo program you put into your computer. It helps you view photographs and when it comes time to print them you can print collages or place the prints of one person - per page. Print our Photo quality prints on photo paper and then take all of them to Kinko, Staples, Office Max and have them bound into book. PERSONALLY ---------------- go the CVS route or MYPUBLISHING .com the books are beautiful and lovely to have forever.
