    2. Debbie, Thank you for your help. I have found the record of my Grandmothers Baptism. It is a start to finding her family in poland. The original document that I had was hand written by a priest some 25 years after she and her parents left poland. It was written in old German script. When I had it translated it said she was from lasin Gruzdenz West Prussia. It said her Mother's maiden name was Marianna Oleji zu Rittershausen. The record I found on the LDS film says her name is Marianna Olejiu (it is hard to read). The place where she was born is Rittershausen. (Again hard to read). When I tried to find Rittershausen I can not find it. The last name is the same that is on the Death record I found before on a LDS film. So I know that there was a child before grandmom. Do you know if there is a Rittershausen or was that a town in 1880 West Prussia? I looked at a few maps and can find nothing. Again thanks Sam **************It's only a deal if it's where you want to go. Find your travel deal here. (http://information.travel.aol.com/deals?ncid=aoltrv00050000000047)

    3. Sam, Rittershausen exists. The village is now called Szczepanki. It is located about 3km Southwest of Łasin and 17km East of Grudziądz in northwest Poland. Not much can be found about it on the Internet. Here are two sources: > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Szczepanki,_Grudzi%C4%85dz_County > http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Szczepanki_(powiat_grudzi%C4%85dzki) Roman SamE797@aol.com wrote: > Debbie, > > Thank you for your help.
