Hi Bronwyn, And is sounds as though even with the 'mistake' the transcription gave you a head start on where to find this record? I received my records by physically being in Poland. In a random search on the project group site, which I do now and then, what caught my eye was the record number and a new spelling of gggm maiden name. The Parish was right. I never knew that Ruztazan (Should be Rustagan) was a family name. I only ever had Ratuszny. The records I read and obtained in Poland had Rustagan spelt four different ways, but phonetically identifiable. Now I have a fifth one for this name Also both Martinus and Marcin I had identified along with other Christian names for different relatives. Had I not been to Poland, the names below would not have meant anything to me. I cannot phonetically connect Blatozny with Ratuszny. However Ruth in her replies, explained it all. Which is great as now I will try to somehow use the ID numbers she gave me to see what other clues I can find.. The latin/polish translation I understand. Ruth is probably correct, in that the handwriting could have been difficult.
