Chris, I did a little scouting around for the name Pizlak, and variations of the spelling, Pizlock, Pislak on Google, ancestry.com, and Ellis Island. I may be way off, but is it possible that the surname Pizlock/Pizlak could have originated from some other country close to Poland, and then some settled in Poland? It's just a thought. This idea came to me when I found only 1 Pizlak on the Poznan Marriage Project. It seemed odd that there was only 1 family with that name listed in the project, unless the towns where they were heavily concentrated in are not indexed yet, or they came from the Galicia Poland area, which I believe is not part of the project.
