The short word over the longer word is pretty clearly "Wola," but there are jillions of places with names Wola X. At first glance I thought it was "R---owska," and the more I looked at it, the more I thought it might be "Rusinowska." I seemed to recall there was a Wola Rusinowska in Galicia, and when I checked Lenius's _Genealogical Gazetteer of Galicia_, sure enough, there it was. "Wola Ranizowska" might also be a candidate, but "Rusinowska" looks like a better fit to me. So "Wola Rusinowska" is my best guess. Hope it helps, instead of leading you on a wild goose chase! Your eyes are better than mine Fred. To me, it's scribbling! I'll see what I can find out about Wola Rusinowska. Is it in the southwest corner of Poland?
