    3. I can't seem to find any Roman Catholic Parishes for Nowa Sady (Sejny). I am inclined to think that my great grandparents worshipped in Sejny since it is pretty close. Would anyone have any ideas as to how I can find out this information. It seems that their is not a lot of info out there for this area. Also (in the early 1900's) would this be in Sejny Diocese? Thanks, Deb

    3. According to the Slownik, it is one word, Nowosady, and the parish was Sejny. LDS have microfilmed Catholic and Evangelical records. Kopie księg metrykalnych, 1798-1884 Kościół rzymsko-katolicki. Parafja Sejny (Sejny) Kopie księg metrykalnych, 1810-1928 Kościół ewangelicki. 3. Deb, Tina has responded but I just wanted to say that there isn't/wasn't a Roman Catholic diocese of Sejny. The diocese was in L~omz~a: http://www.kuria.lomza.pl/ Today, the parish of Sejny is in El~k diocese but this won't help you unless you are looking for records _since_ 1992. Anything prior to that will be found in the diocese of L~omz~a. Here's the parish web site just for grins: http://www.sejny.kuria.elk.pl/ This page lists all of the diocese in Poland as well as the Eparchy (Greek Catholic) diocese in Poland: http://www.opoka.org.pl/struktury_kosciola/diecezje/index.html Debbie Tina Ellis wrote: > According to the Slownik, it is one word, Nowosady, and the parish was Sejny.
