The surname Ceckiewicz as provided by my sister-in-law was also listed as Cyckiewicz and Syskiewicz in various records, but never as you uncovered Cedkiewicz. In that first USA generation, some kept the Ceckiewicz surname, but others in the same family changed to Smith and Sykes.
